CA security products are all that I will ever use for system security, both personally and professionally. I have been using their anti-virus products for over 15 years, and anti-spyware for over 6 years. This product combines both, and adds firewall, web content filtering and system backup into one complete solution. I personally don't use the content filtering piece(no underage children in the house), but I have seen how it functions, and it works well. I can't use the backup option as I live in a rural area with only dial-up service to the internet. If I could use it, I would. It allows you to automatically backup your system and changes remotely and restore in case of system corruption or failure. The firewall can be easy to use if you don't use a lot of sites that open additional ports, or cross-link you to other URLs. The logging function allows you to see what is being blocked, and you can add exceptions easily. The anti-virus/anti-spyware product is combined and is pretty much a no-brainer to deal with. All products are managed through a single interface.
Unlike the other products on the market (yes, all the big names that either come with your system, or advertise everywhere that they are the best product), this one actually does remove viruses and spyware. The others many times alert you to an infection, but cannot remove it. CA has never failed me. With 24x7 tech support, they can assist you with installation and configuration if you need it.
All things considered...still the best product on the market today.
Just a little personal advice....DON'T select the automatic renewal option during install. You have to give credit card info, etc. Just select the "skip" option and continue. I have found that it is much cheaper to re-buy the next year's product from amazon at a greatly reduced cost from the renewal cost, and just uninstall the old and install the new. Just keep a record of the settings and exceptions that you had on the old version before uninstalling.

Good Product from Microsoft . i am not a good fan of microsoft , but this is much better than other antivirus . this will not kill the system performance. There are many new features which will help you to navigate through internet. Good product so far i used.

Removed CA after battling with daily problems on 3 PCs, not really compatible with Win7. Installed McAfee 2010, now life is good.

CA is a big-enterprise software company that's also tried to reach out to consumers in the security space, and this is their latest attempt. Some of the earlier products were of questionable quality, as CA had a history of acquiring smaller companies and then trying to glue the components together, and in the past, this tended to result in awkward and poorly integrated software.
CA's ISS includes all the common security functions a typical PC user requires, including anti-virus, spam and phishing protection, backup and so on. One somewhat unusual feature is computer migration, helping you get your programs, data files and so forth moved to an alternative PC. The product also comes with an introductory version of Mozy online backup with 2GB of backup space free.
Now that CA's had these products for a while, they've finally been able to redesign all the key parts, especially the user interface - and my understanding is that CA reached out to Frog Design, perhaps the world's leading design firm. As a result, this is easily the best and most consumer-friendly version CA ever shipped, to the extent that its completely viable alternative to the big name Symantec or McAffee products.
I can't really attest to whether it's any more secure than the competition, but since CA also sells tons of software to the biggest organizations on the planet, I'd like to think that if the product shares features with the stuff the big guys run, it must be pretty solid.
I found the products to install easily and painlessly on my three PCs: one Windows 7 64-bit, one Vista and one Windows XP (the product includes three licenses, so you can simply install the same software three times). Once installed, the products worked as I expect them to, more or less as though it's not even there. I also use Symantec and McAffee, and I found that boot time and signature updates seemed to be slightly faster with the CA product. More importantly, my Windows XP system (admittedly somewhat slow at 1.6 GHz), tends to bog down with the others, but not with the CA product.
I won't comment on the pricing and distribution policies as another review covered it. There seem to be many resellers of the CA product, and it pays to shop around. As others pointed out, Amazon's price seems to be one of the best.
