| Customer Reviews: Slows down Outlook November 3, 2006 Andrew H. Linss (Chicago, IL) I suppose this product is doing it's job but there are two factors that impact it's benefits. First, it slows down Outlook quite a bit. I notice that my email is retrieved much slower and that while retreiving, I can't review existing emails. I just wait. Second, I have had problems with McAffee products expiring at different times, causing me a constant headache and great expense. If you are going for multiple products, buy the suite so you are constantly updating individual products.
Lousy product; doesn't stop spam March 23, 2006 R. Hibbard (Phoenix) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I loaded this Spamkiller 2006 Version 7.0 product 3 times on my computer and even with the help of McAfee's technical support. Not only didn't it reduce any spam (it caught none), but slowed down my system and was almost impossible to remove the software (obviously McAfee intentionally wants it that way). This is the LAST McAfee product I will purchase.
SpamKiller usability March 17, 2006 C. J. Bates First of all version 7 is not as good in identifying spam as version 5, which I replaced. Not even as effective as version 2.3 which I used initially. Secondly it conflicted with other McAfee programs which I downloaded from my ISP. I uninstalled and reinstalled SpamKiller 7 three times and finally uninstalled it for good. I would not recommend, and McAfee Tech Support is not generally helpful.
